Dr Rizwan Uppal, the founder of IDC, believed that proper and timely diagnosis is the key to successful treatment. An all under one roof diagnostic service with the name of Islamabad Diagnostic Center (IDC) Pvt. Ltd was established in the beautiful City of Islamabad more than a decade ago.

This brain child of Dr Rizwan was not possible without the support of his two brothers and Executive directors, Dr Rehan Uppal and Dr Imran Uppal. Since the day of inception, Dr Rehan has been a great assistance and immense help in IDC progress and evolution. IDC’s main strength lies in use of state of the art technology, in the hands of qualified and experienced team of doctors and technologist on 24/7 basis. There is still no such setup of equivalent scale and quality in Pakistan.

IDC is one facility where both laboratory and Radiology services. The widest spectrum of in house laboratory tests and imaging investigations are available nowhere, other than at IDC. To further widen the services of rare but important tests, IDC is now offering a unique service of sending samples to UK at The Doctors Lab (TDL), and Germany, Synlab on daily basis at no extra cost.

The small and humble setup of IDC established more than decade ago is now spreaded nationwide. IDC now has a branch network of more than 2 dozen outlets and mini IDCs, with a staff of more than 300 doctors and technologist and supporting staff, working day and night to offer the best diagnostics to the patients and doctors. IDC is actively participating in external and internal quality assurance Programs from UK EQAS and USA (CAP) , NEQAP, PNRA) and ISO certification. The IDC is also involved in academic and research activities. It is affiliated with Irsa University. IDC pathologist and doctors are part of Nafees Medical College academic faculty.

We have latest Fresenius 5008 machines with some dedicated to hepatitis B and C patients. We have vast experience in handling all kinds of dialysis access from permcaths to AV grafts. We are the dialysis center of choice for holiday dialysis patients wishing to travel to Pakistan for personal or business needs. We have a special arrangement with NHS referred patients and are on the panel of Eurocross insurance group based in the Netherlands. We heavily focus on infection control and hence use standard international quality Fresenius products in all of our units. And for the service we provide our charges are surprisingly affordable. Doctors Hospital is located on main Canal road with signs marked for Doctors Hospital Underpass.
Gujranwala Dialysis Centre is located in Chaudhary Hospital, 28 D Satellite Town, and is located in the heart of Gujranwala city. The Sargodha unit is situated in Ashraf Hospital on Sargodha Lahore Road.

Welcome to First Dialysis Centre

At First Dialysis Centre we provide round the clock dialysis service to patients suffering from advanced renal failure. Managed by trained staff and overlooked by internationally acclaimed Nephrologist with over 20 years of experience, we ensure patient safety and dialysis adequacy. Our dialysis service extends to three cities Lahore, Gujranwala and Sargodha which are all run on a tightly controlled system ensuring quality and efficacy. We put great emphasis on infection control hence our local patients or those traveling to Pakistan on short trips, have to go through detailed assessment before entering our dialysis program. In 2013 we moved to a new location in the prestigious Doctors Hospital Lahore in a purpose-built location. This has added to better patient care and satisfaction for our new and existing patients.

Lahore dialysis centre

Our main unit is located in Doctors Hospital, Johar Town, Lahore. This serves as the core of our local and satellite dialysis units. We have a blend of custom-made dialysis chairs and beds for individual patient needs giving them comfort and relaxation during the treatment.

Sargodha dialysis centre

Sargodha dialysis unit serves a large rural and urban population. Located on Lahore road and close to motorway it provides easy access to patients from around Sargodha Division and closest Faisalabad International Airport for travelling patients. Quality is ensured by telecommunication link with Lahore centre.

Gujranwala dialysis centre

Our new state of the art unit for Gujranwala Division opened its doors in April 2019. Located in the Centre of the city accessible to nearby important cities of Sialkot and Gujrat it is a mere 45 minutes drive from Sialkot International Airport. This unit is unique as it is located in two floors of the hospital and caters to the needs of all social and economic groups of patients. With Central delivery system of disposables each procedure is closely monitored.

Faisalabad dialysis centre

Faisalabad dialysis Centre is based in United Hospital which is the latest addition to quality health care in the region. With Fresenius 5008 machines and quality control, our patients feel comfortable near home not having to travel great distances for dialysis. As with other regional Centers, Faisalabad unit is backed by our Lahore Centre for admission and procedures.
